Animal Welfare

Animal Welfare

FM fragrances was founded in 2004 in Brighton. Our concept was born out of a desire to provide a high-quality alternative to the Vegan community, newly converted vegans, and cruelty-free aware shoppers who prefer not to support animal testing or purchase cosmetics containing animal byproducts. Above all, we wanted to provide a vegan alternative and raise vegan awareness among non-vegans.

Cruelty Free & Vegan

Our fragrances are cruelty-free & Vegan – What does this mean?

All of our perfumes come with a guarantee that FM Perfumes has undergone an independent audit to demonstrate a real commitment to stopping animal experimentation.

What does Vegan mean?

Vegan was coined in 1944, and the Trademark is the genuine international vegan standard. To be eligible for registration, items must now meet the following requirements. A professional and experienced team scrutinizes each product application against the criteria and questions any potential inclusion of animal substances, even if they are not present in the final product. Audits for items at high risk of cross-contamination with animal substances are conducted in collaboration with producers to provide vegan consumers with additional assurance.

Our Ethics

We purchase all of our oils and organic beetroot alcohol from Europe, where animal experimentation has been prohibited for over 5 years, and we will never purchase any of our raw ingredients from outside of Europe. All of our perfumes are IFRA certified as non-toxic and safe. Our scents are free of synthetic preservatives.

We are a self-contained British business. There is no parent corporation, and we have no affiliation with any organization that employs animal-derived substances or conducts animal experimentation. There is no palm oil in any of our products.

Many people are unaware that animals suffer in order to have a pleasant odor.

FM PERFUMES, well-known among vegans, is a favorite of caring clients who want to smell great while knowing that no animals were harmed in the process.

Care For Animals

Vegans use the term “animal” to refer to all vertebrates and multicellular invertebrates, as well as the entire animal kingdom. Depending on the context, the word can be used as a noun or an adjective to refer to a species or an individual animal. It usually refers to non-human animals unless otherwise mentioned. Ingredients from animals The use of any animal product, by-product, or derivative in the manufacture and/or development of the product, as well as its constituents, must not entail or have involved the use of any animal product, by-product, or derivative.

Animal testing

Testing of any kind on animals must not be done at the firm’s initiative or on its behalf, or by parties over whom the company has effective control, in the development and/or manufacture of the product, and where applicable, its ingredients.

Genetically Modified Organisms

Animal genes or animal-derived compounds must not have been used in the development or manufacture of genetically modified organisms (GMOs). Products that contain or may contain GMOs must be labeled as such when they are submitted for registration.

Our fragrances can smell very similar to the ones you choose. They are never identical, though, because the materials used to make our perfumes are all vegan. As a result, perfumes with animal notes like Civet, Ambergris, Musk, Honey, Milk, and Castoreum will never smell exactly the same, but will be quite similar because we reproduce these notes with vegetable-derived ingredients.

Disclaimer: Our scents are not to be confused with those of the original creator. The manufacturer/designer has no affiliation with FM Perfumes. Manufacturers and/or designers own the trademarks and copyright for their products. Chemical analysis and recreation were used to construct our perceptions of these scents. The objective of this description on our website is to provide customers a sense of smell character rather than to mislead, confuse, or infringe on the manufacturer’s/name designer’s and valuable trademark. We do not claim that our products are from the original designer brand or that they are identical replicas, thus we do not break any copyright or trademark laws. Let it be known that this website has no association with any of these trademark owners and is not affiliated with or supported by them. Any references to brand names are solely for the sake of comparison. We just ask the customer to compare the designer brand products to FM Perfumes’ products in terms of pricing, style, aroma, character, ingredients, and quality. We cut corners on packaging and marketing in order to focus on developing a good scent with a 15% strength. Our scents are all Eau de Parfum, not Eau de Toilette. This is a good alternative.
